Good food, really good, healthy, local and sustainable food should be available on a daily basis. The idea behind our farmers market is to connect local food with a community and a community with local food. We use only small, local (under 100 mile radius) farms to make that happen. Farms selling produce, dairy, meat, butter, eggs, and prepared foods that are all made from local ingredients by hand in the slow food tradition. No pesticides, hormones or additives. We do not charge our farmers to sell because we want to ensure that you are getting the freshest food with very little, if any, mark-up.
People who come to our market come every week to shop for the week. We want to help you get in touch with the food you eat, know where the food comes from and get to know the person who grows/makes your food. This kind of connection with the earth allows you to be present in the food process.
We are open every Wednesday (4-7 p.m.) from June 8th to October 5th. We are outside under the tents.
